Established in 1546 in Hannover, Germany, Gilde is one of the oldest breweries in Germany. The house was saved by the efforts of the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore, which made arrangements with the city of Baltimore and opened the home as The Baltimore Poe House in 1949. Hall Family Farm is a 4th generation family farm conveniently located in the Ballantyne Area 2 miles south of I-485. We offer pick-your-own or pre-picked strawberries in the spring and seasonal vegetables in the summer, and pumpkins and a corn maze in the fall. Seasonal vegetables are sold pre-picked in our sales tent.

One of the totally awesome things about this farm is that have 4 rows of strawberries that are wheelchair accessible! Check their Facebook page in April for more information on picking. We have been growing fresh fruits and vegetables here at the Bush-N-Vine since 1979. However, the Bush-N-Vine Farm has actually been in the Hall family for much longer---over 150 years! Originally the farm was solely a peach orchard. The building located on our farm in York, South Carolina was used as a peach packing shed in the 1950's and 60's. York, SCStrawberry picking starts mid-April at Black’s Peaches.

Blueberry picking begins the first week of July and will normally continue for about 4 weeks. The sun is shining, and temps are warm which makes us want to head out for one of our favorite spring activities, U-picking produce. The centerpiece of the family property is the Farmhouse, which was built in 1908 using recycled materials from Charlotte's turn-of-the-century renovations. Multiple barns and buildings, plus extensive pastures and fresh crops flank the home.

Reallyyy good New Castle beer cheese. Chicken nachos were stacked with ingredients- it took me 3 more times to finish them. Staff made me feel so comfortable. Have had the chicken pita before too which was fantastic. It always comes hot and is packaged really well. I love the chicken quesadillas and for an appetizer the Spinach & artichoke dip is amazing!
